| | In September 2008, over one hundred ecumenical volunteers from across the U.S.A. participated in an ‘action-oriented’ media study, undertaken by WACC- North America. As part of WACC’s mission to actively promote communication for social change, this project is part of its world-wide campaign “Communication is Peace – Cultures for Peace” – working towards creating ‘cultures of peace’ on a local and international level.

WACC is pleased to announce that four outstanding communicators have agreed to become Honorary Life Members of the Association, three among them from USA. This brings to only 19 the number of members acknowledged through Honorary Life Membership. The Honorary Life Membership is awarded by WACC’s Board of Directors to communicators who have served WACC, religious communications and the cause of communication rights throughout their careers and whose work is characterised by dedication, integrity, and achievement. |
